Red Hook/Carroll Gardens - Clinton Street
Last year, Strong Place’s Cat in the Hat students supported the victims who were devastated by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico by writing letters to Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez requesting more aid for the people. The students also organized a Children’s Book Donation Drive! This project cultivated their civic awareness and taught them an important lesson in empathy and compassion they won’t soon forget.
A big thank you to Waste Connections in Red Hook for their gracious donation of tricycles to the children ! Look at their smiling faces!
